Em. Prof. D. Brynn Hibbert occupied the Chair of Analytical Chemistry at the University of New South Wales since arriving from England in 1987 until his retirement in 2013.
His research interests are in metrology and statistics in chemistry, ionic liquids and electroanalytical chemistry, but he also does a sideline in expert opinion, scientific fraud and presenting science to the public.
More recently he has become a go-to expert witness in matters of drugs (of abuse, and sports). He is Past President of the Royal Society of New South Wales.
Brynn has published around 250 papers, 5 books and 3 patents.
